Outreach Location

Hello,

We found out this week that our outreach will be traveling to different Hawaiian Islands: Maui, Kauai, and possibly Oahu. We will be doing youth ministry and evangelizing. God really spoke to us to go to Hawaii. Even when we prayed with Elijah, he said “Hawaii.” Then we had a list of possible places on a piece of paper and asked him to point to one and he pointed to Hawaii. It is incredible how God uses even the little ones. It has really been an incredible time, as far as growth in the Lord. It has been really busy with school and work duty, yet really fruitful. Stretching my faith, and bringing a nearness that I have never experienced before to a deeper level. It is really incredible to see so many people utterly and completely dependant on God. And just a closeness and intmacy that the YWAM community has here on base. I am in a class of 50 students and it is really like family. Our class is made up of people from 13 different countries, from 24 years old to 91, from doctors, CEOs, lawyers, laymen many who have given up there normal lives for the sake of the Gospel.

Base has been really busy as we are preparing for recieving people from all over the world coming for Lorren Cunningham’s funeral this coming Saturday (the founder of YWAM). When he passed away Oct. 6th. we lowered the flags of all the counties in honor of his life. Yet one flag got stuck, and that was the Israeli flag. We felt an urge to pray for Israel, not knowing that the next day would be the start of the Israel-Hamas war. I pray for restoration and peace among both nations.

Where are the men? One stat that has always supprised me is how the mission field is by far majority women. At worship night last week we had about 1,000 students from 37 countries. They called all the women to leave their seats and head to the front. The seating area was almost completely empty, probably roughly 85% were women if not more. Women, who are willing to leave their comfort and go to evangelize war-torn countries, closed off countries in the Middle East, and to the remote tribes in the Amazon. Women who are willing to put their lives on line for Gospel, it has been really inspiring to me.

As we head forward we could use prayer for:

  • Continued growth in intimacy with the Lord.

  • That God prepares the field before us for outreach.

  • How could we pray for you?

Also I asked you to pray for Gavin, a couple of updates ago. He decided to join YWAM in Norway so I am praying for him as he prepares to head out,

Thank you for your prayers!
