We Made It!

We are in Kona, Hawaii!! Today is the day, a long day exhausting day/week. (Well technically yesterday now.) Hauling our tired/cranky/rambunctious toddler through the hotel and into the airport at 4am. Yet the victory is ours! I am excited and overjoyed at the future that God has laid before us. Yet, I am sad to leave behind our close community and our home of the beautiful city of Boise that we have came to love and cherish. Kayla and I knew when we moved to Boise over 6 years ago that it would be our launch pad into missions. What we didn’t imagine was the great community and amazing friendships that we created. We are amazed with how much friendship that we received in Boise.
So much moving pieces have come together this last month. We moved out of our house, then into the Holmes house Discovery Church allowed us to stay in. Our home has a signed leased thanks everyone for your prayers. My parents flew from Michigan to Boise to take our dog, minivan, help us move, and finally take a short trip to Yellowstone National Park. I am so grateful for their help. Discovery Church had a send off service for us that had many tears shed. I officially left my job at Micron two days ago. So many changes in one month had been stressful and overwhelming, yet we have seen God’s hand in so many ways. One small example was, when we moved out of our house the last thing we took out at 9pm at night was a cooler full of food. Somehow with the cooler, Kayla broke off half of a large tile at the entrance door to our garage. Thankfully a friend was at the house at the time, who just “happens” to be a handyman. He was able to repair the tile right away, and it was amazing and God’s provision. Thank you Jesus!
A few ways that you can pray for us:
That God would continue to till the land and prepare us for the harvest He set before us.
That Elijah would easily adjust to the big move.
Protection for Spiritual-warfare.
On the way home from Yellowstone we stopped by Upper Mesa Falls, which is this huge beautiful waterfall just on the border of Idaho that I love. It was the first time I had been to this state park while it was completely empty. I took sometime worshipping God. However, God showed me something that I had never noticed before. I noticed that on the cliff side of the canyon there were these pine trees growing without soil or fertile ground. They were on the cliff side holding on to the rocky cliff. Their roots were nestled in the cracks of the rock. They were not as big as the other trees, slightly crooked, none the less more resilient than any other tree in the surrounding forrest. Anyone logical would have told the seedlings, it is impossible for you to grow there. Yet, these seedlings had to renew their minds and be transformed of what was possible, of where they could grow. They hung on for dear life, trusting God would hold them up and provide enough water and sunshine. The trees had great faith that the Father would lift them up. What they didn’t know was the amount of blessings they would receive from God to provide growth. These seedlings could of tried to land in greener pastures somewhere else. They could have gave up, shriveled up and died denying the overwhelming amount of blessing. Yet they didn’t their trials built them to be stronger trees. The blessing to be completely dependent on God, often defies logic, and procedures. Yet God is the creator of all logic, procedures, science, miracles, etc. He is the Way-maker, Miracle-worker, Promise Keeper, and shows us where we must go to flourish in Him. All we need to do is discern His Spirit and will for us. He knows the obstacles before us. He may not take away the obstacle, however He does hold out a hand. Our job is to trust it and say yes, wether small or big. The providence He often gives us is incomprehensible.
Romans 12:2 “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”
Some have asked how can they continue to support us. Prayer is always the biggest help! While are classes are 100% financed you could do so via Venmo: @dakota-molner this is not tax deductible. After my 6 month DTS there will be a tax deductible option.
Thank you guys so much!!! I pray the Numbers 6:24-26 blessing upon you guys, “May the Lord bless you and protect you; may the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; may the Lord look with favor on you and give you peace.”’
